Video Game crafting

Description

With no programming or previous coding experience required, students are introduced to the fundamentals of game design and prototyping. Students will learn what makes games fun instead of frustrating, and instruction will focus on teaching students how to craft digital experiences instead of write code. Applying these design principles to their own working prototypes, students will gain firsthand experience with the game design process used in the games industry and leave the course with a playable prototype. This one-week course will prepare students for future courses in game design, game development, and human-computer interaction.
