This program is designed to introduce students to the idea of a more sustainable lifestyle that can be obtained through their everyday activity. Participants will receive a thorough understanding of what it means to be environmentally sustainable by learning about the impacts we as humans put on the earth. As resources such as water and fuel become more strained, green design and eco-friendly lifestyles become more important. This program will explore ways in which urban areas are incorporating sustainable design to ensure resources can continue to be used for generations to come. Participants will work individually to build out an ideal, self-sufficient model town using knowledge gained along the way about green design, sustainability, waste management, and renewable resources.
