Description

 

The salary for a technical support specialist, or computer user support specialist, varies based on job responsibilities, company and location, but the median annual wage is $52,270, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).  Employment of technical support specialists is on the rise, with 11 percent growth expected from 2016 to 2026, according to the BLS. If you want to get into IT, becoming a technical support specialist is a great place to start.

 

Description:  If you’ve passed Part 1 and Part 2, and have graduated from high school or have your GED, you can enroll in Part 3.  It is a final series of courses to complete the NuPaths Technical Support Specialist program, including:

  • NPTH 101: Fundamentals of Communication Software
  • NPTH 130: Technical Support in the Modern Enterprise
  • NPTH 401: Technical Support Specialist Project
  • NPTH 1000: Business Skills Workshops

 

Prepare a job search strategy, write a resume, and practice interviewing skills.

Students who successfully complete the course will receive 3 college credits. In addition, students will have the opportunity to take the  Microsoft Office Specialist: Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint Certification and The CompTIA A+.

September 12th, 2021 – January 29th, 2022

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thurdays from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

 

September 19th, 2022 – February 2nd, 2023

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thurdays from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
