Introduction to Controlled Environment Agriculture at CCA

Description

CCA and Harrisburg University will offer a week-long program designed to educate students about Controlled Environment Agriculture – including aquaponics! Aquaponics is a method of growing plants hydroponically by using nutrient-rich water from aquaculture as the source of nutrients. This program will include a tour of aquaponic facilities, which serve as a living laboratory. Students will explore biology, plant propagation, water chemistry, and engineering design with guided hands-on activities.
