engineering summer camp

Description

The purpose of this summer program is to provide students with an opportunity to explore many hands-on experiments in engineering and other scientific fields. The first half of the program will focus on refreshing and resharpening students’ mathematic skills in preparation for their latter work. The second half of the program will allow students to spend time on physical experiments with their skill sets from the first session.

During the math session, students will spend time discussing different braining storming techniques and how to boost “mathematics” confidence, refamiliarizing themselves with essential mathematical concepts, improving their arithmetic and algebraic skills, and solving real-life applications thru critical thinking.

After the first half of the program, students will have an opportunity to carry out some experiments. These experiments could be, but not limited to, building a simple machine, bridge structure, and investigating the integrity of structures using many important concepts of physics. Also, during this stage, students will apply their knowledge of mathematics to solve problems in the engineering field.
